Mrs. Rinaldi’s Fourth Grade Class
Polk School - 2008-2009 I am pleased to introduce myself. My name is Dorothy Rinaldi and I am your child’s fourth grade teacher. This will be an exciting and challenging year for your child. I will hold high expectations for each student to work to their fullest potential. My goal is to provide a safe and structured learning environment. |  Homework Children are required to check the homework board before the end of school each day, write their homework assignments in their agenda, gather all materials needed, and pack their bookbags. There will be homework assigned Monday through Thursday. There will be no homework assigned on weekends with the exception of long term projects. Long term assignments and upcoming tests are on the board well in advance for study planning. We will be having recess FIRST again this year. We have recess at 11:10 followed by lunch. Due to the early lunch we will be having an afternoon snack. Think small and healthy.
SPELLING:
Weekly schedule: Each word is to be written three times each and is due every Tuesday . Sentences due every Thursday. Please write 5 good sentences using at least one spelling word per sentence. Students should strive to create sentences that are at least 8 words long. Test on Friday Note: Super Vocabulary Words are always optional. I encourage the students to try them on the test each week. No points will be deducted if they are incorrect. Bonus points are awarded for correct spellings.
