      Happy Fall Everyone!

Fourth grade is just flying by!  I am working closely with Mrs. McKee, Miss Lipeika, and Mrs. Rinaldi. I am teaching math problem solving strategies in the three classes and co-teaching Social Studies in Mrs. McKee's and Miss Lipeika's classrooms. My para and I support reading, written language, and math skills in the classroom and pull some students out for direct teaching and intervention. As you can imagine, it makes for a busy and interesting day!

In Social Studies. we are working on map skills and will be learning geography and themes soon. We will also be discussing the sun, seasons, and day/night. I have sent home a chapter packet ( lesson summary, vocabulary, etc.), please review it often with your child. In Science, the chilren are enjoying learning different biomes.  Math students are working on many skills including place value and rounding. Of course, students should be practicing basic facts-- one never knows when there will be a surprise timed drill!  We have a new reading series ( Story Town) which has wonderful stories and skills..I am very excited about it and think the children will really enjoy it.

I look forward to hearing from you. If you have any questions or concerns, please call or you can click  here to contact me.
